The DII Smith tournament started last night.

In 3 of the regions, there were only one seeding upset each: a #9, 10, and #11 won.  But in the East Region, seeds #1-5 all lost. Advancing were #6, #7, #9 and #12-16.

my odd tournament result was making the Sweet 16 with a mid-major and seeing my prestige fall from B to B-

Nothing wrong with the effect of conference success on prestige.  Move along.

first off, i didnt make that argument.  second off, your condescending tone is that of someone that never won jack at a mid major.  i have no issues with conference prestige or success having an effect on prestige, small as it should be...but its amusing to imagine a real world scenario where a mid major makes a run to the sweet 16 and the profile of their school actually decreases.

but thank you for your constructive addition to the conversation.

I was that #3.  Shot  a whopping .345 and got outrebounded by the 6 seed.  Not a huge upset but this may have been my best team since taking over Abilene Christian and now my dreams are shattered ... until next year.

Bow has a tempery streak.  It's best to just ignore it when it pops up.  Pretty sure I'm the same way.

who hasn't ignored it?  if you weren't aware of jslotmans previous rants you would think that was an unnecessary and condescending remark.  it wasn't, they told me, i apologized, and everyone moved on.
