Hello All,

My first draft is quickly approaching.  My scouting:

High School = 8
College = 15

Can I trust any of the high school ratings I see?  Should I stick to college players for the first couple picks?  How does the 8 and 15 correlate to accuracy?

Any help is appreciated.

college projections will be more accurate.  i'd still pay attention to high school players, just note their current ratings and be leery of the guys that project wayyyy higher than their current ratings.  i.e. if a pitcher has 45/45 current splits and 80/80 projected splits, i'd probably anticipate them maxing out around 70.

and this is especially important if you're not picking in the top 10.  if the guy actually does project to be a stud, somebody with a higher budget will see him and draft him ahead of you.  if he's way overrated, he's a lot more likely to slide and end up as your pick.  so there's a bit of selection bias working against you w/ these types.
