Does it say type d in the far right column?

If so there is no comp pick for him next season

You don't get comp picks, of any kind, twice.

I wouldn't count on it.

Agreed.  You cannot get a comp pick for an unsigned comp pick.

And in the original post . . . what do you mean by "these draft picks have *'s next to them"?

I'm guessing CS didn't understand the question or the question was poorly worded.  I imagine you'll be back in 8 weeks to complain that you didn't get your comp pick.

Seriously, think about it for a moment.   You don't see anyone you like.  You draft a "probably won't sign" guy.  You get your comp pick.   Same thing next season.  Now you're got three first round picks in the 3rd season.   Do it again.  4 in the 4th season when you've got 20m in scouting.   Common sense says you're not going to be allowed to keep playing the game like that.   MLB doesn't work like that.

Yeah, I don't think CS realized this was a Type D pick and thought you were just asking about the normal #2 overall pick - you don't get compensation for compensatory picks that don't sign.

Actually, after doing a little research in World GD Bryant, I think that willsauve WILL get a comp pick if his #2 pick doesn't sign.  If you care to look, take a look at the Philadelphia franchise in GD Bryant Seasons 11, 12 & 13.  His #19 overall pick did not sign in Season 11, in Season 12 he had the #21 overall pick as compensation, who also did not sign, and he then has the 23rd pick in Season 13 (who, incidentally, did sign)
