I'm working with Nevada in Tark.  My first team that I'm seriously working the Zone Defense with.  My question is I know you have to play the zone differently than other Defenses but how much different.  Per say if I usually would go +2 with Man does that translate to +3 or even +4 in zone and vice versa.  Say I want to stop a low post scoring team if I would go -3 in man would that be -5 or -1 in zone.  Any suggestions and advise would be appreciated.

First off, there are 2 zones ... 2-3 and 3-2.

My understanding is that +2 in the 2-3 is basically 0 in Man.

For 3-2, I use the same settings as I do in Man.

There are other coaches here who play zone much better though.

I do notice that in Zone my starters can play longer for a given "Freshness" setting.

If you were going to go -3 in Man, I'd say that's like playing a 0 or a -1 in the 2-3 zone or a -5, if at all, in the 3-2.

If you take the 3-2 and 2-3 as one defense, one advantage of the zone is that it basically gives you the ability to play anything between +7 and -7.

Still trying to figure out how to run this thing and win.  Maybe it's the fact that my IQ's are low and don't have much defense or maybe it's a combination of both game plaing and inexperience but at 0-5 I have to try to put a gameplan together so I can win.

Well 1-13 makes you wonder when will the wins come again.  I didn't think I'll be this bad but for now I just have to live with it and look forward to next season.

Well for those who know my team went 2 - 25 last season.  I feel it's more of the IQ and the 9 new players than the Defense.  I am looking forward to the zone this year and hopefully we can make some noise and go over 500 this year.

9-19 is a great improvement from 2-25 but the team got 6 conf wins toward the end of the season.  The IQ's are getting better so I'm hoping better results next season.

It's been 15 seasons and I've decided to scrap the zone for the m2m d
