I would rank them about 10th, 11th and 12th out of three. Seriously, I agree with Bilfert. In a $255 MM league, money isn't as big an issue as it is at lower caps, so why not draft the very best? You don't have to exclusively draft 300+ inning guys unless you're very lazy about roster management because you don't have to optimize your $/IP spend as diligently as at lower caps. Maddux `95 has been my most consistent performer at $255 MM. As Bilfert says, Joss, Pedro, Pete Alexander `15 and Elton Chamberlain are also excellent. I've never had much luck with Walter Johnson `13 at $255 MM although a lot of people use him.
Gibson will be toast at $255 MM and Koufax will be so-so at best. I love Gibson and Koufax and stubbornly use Gibson from time to time at $80 MM, but he comes from one of the biggest pitching years in the SIM so he doesn't normalize very well at any cap level. Don't look exclusively at ERC#. As several owners pointed out in another recent thread, ERC#, WHIP#, BB/9#, HR/9 and performance history are all important. Teams at $255 MM are more similar than at lower cap levels because everyone can afford the same high end Ruths, Cobbs, Hornsbys, Lajoies, Hamiltons and Duffys. Lineup management and ballpark selection are critical because the big differentiator is how efficiently you score runs against similar teams.
