With all the conference realignment going on in the real world. Any chance the conferences in WIS HD get realigned to reflect the actual world? Like the "Pac 10" with Hawaii & Fresno St. It'd be nice to see colorado and utah there. Has this been brought up before? 

This has surely been brought up and I'd like to see this happen to some extent because I'm a fan of realism above all else, but with that being said, I don't think it will happen. 

It would require too many changes to the recruiting $ system and conference mates would get split up against their will. If they compensated users who are moved, I could see it getting done, but it would likely stew up too much controversy. 

I also think a big problem is trying to fit 12 teams into each conference. Where the new changes help out the Pac-12 (nee 10), it would be hard to organize the bigger conferences, with some teams left out.

Yeah.  I coach at Colorado in Allen....one day I kinda expect to wake up in the Pac 12, but it hasn't happened yet.  I wouldnt mind at all, but Fresno State might not like being kicked out to make room for me.

For HD to become more attractive for new customers, I think the realism thing would benefit growth and breathe some life into the game.  The 12 team conference model would have to be blown up and lead into a more dynamic and flexible scheduling approach.  As it currently stands, that prospect is probably a little overwhelming for one seble.  It would be fun, though.

I figure if they start a new world it might be easier. I guess it doesn't matter so much at DII or DIII. But I think keeping with the realism is excellent. Maybe they can do it and alert coaches "in three season...etc". 

It'd help if the real teams would stay put. LOL  What do you do with Boise St.?  Put them in the Big East here and the Big West in GD?

There's really no fair way to do it. If you kick Fresno out of the Pac-10, they'll drop prestige. If I coached them, I'd be unhappy

Several coaches, including me, have tried realigning the conferences. It's dang near impossible without having some weird matchups.

Plus, you've got some schools that are D1 here that are no longer D1 in real life such as Birmingham Southern.

Yeah they can't do that.
