Anyone vs. 1970 Mark Belanger Topic

I just finished a season in a 1970 prog and my SS, Mark Belanger, may posted one of the worst seasons ever for a full-time player.

In 585 PA'd he went .176/.262/.199 w/ 8 XBH (6 doubles, 1 triple and 1 hr) and a RC/27 of 1.99. He managed 54 BB and was 6/9 in SB.

Defensively, he had 25 errors, 0 plus plays and 8 minus.

My question is...  if I had replaced him with, say, a D/D rated player, how good offensively would that replacement player have to be in order to be more valuable than 1970 Mark Belanger?

I did a search on D/D rated Shortstops and noticed 2 things. first there aren't many of them worth playing. Second, looking at their performance history you can expect 50+ errors and maybe 15 minus plays projected to a full season. Based on those numbers you don't need much more than a .240 slap hitting season to beat Belanger's result. but your belanger result was worse than expected and might not be as bad next time.

He hit 236/306/269 for me.

He had 28 errors and 13 negative plays.

He did .040 for me in 1968 (1-25).
