I was looking at my injured player. . and he is improving at the rate of four points per 'day' - his durability is 43.  Is that a coincidence, or would "Durability/10' be a good estimate of how fast a player recovers?

Most players improve at 4 or 5 points a day. If your player would stay out of Hooters and go to rehab, he'd improve faster.

Durability, at one point, was tied to the severity of the injury. I'm not sure if that's been changed or not.

For maybe the second time since I started HD, I've had a player injured this season.  As a matter of fact, I now have had 2 players injured - which I consider to be a bizarre fluke.  One was a little-used reserve but the latest is one of my best players and a starter, right before I have to play the #4 team in the country.  I'm only a 9 point 'dog in that game, but without him I'm afraid it's going to be a no-contest.

Did something happen to change the impact of DUR?

nope, you just got "lucky"

Wish some of that luck would happen the other way in close NT games.

I once had my starting center get hurt during the CT and miss the NT. The next season, it happened again...CT, same player

It's the only way they ever get to talk to their coach.

That sure sounds familiar! I once made the Elite 8 in back-to-back seasons with teams that really didn't have the talent to get that far. But in each instance, my Final Four hopes were dashed when I lost arguably my best player in the NT game that got me there (different player each season), so I had to play the regional final short-handed both times. I did not win either of those games.
