Recruiting with Excel Topic

Hi-
I've always copied and pasted recruits into Excel with no problem.

Today, however, I'm losing the color.  Instead of red and blue (formerly green) , all the numbers are black and gray. It looks like the blue numbers are now bold black.  This happens with both my desktop and laptop.

Any ideas?

I use the logic formula and have one ugly long function that computes, for instance, = B2 + ..... + IF (C2 = "Low",3,0).  Just define each potential as you please.  There's probably an elegant way to do it, but...meh.

If you use chrome, it will paste with color ... at least it does for me.

How do you get the numbers to paste in Excel? I have to copy each player, then paste, but it only pastes in one square, so then I end up having to type each rating in. Takes me about an hour every time I am planning on recruiting. If someone knows how to do this, please let me know. I would really appreciate it a lot!

If you only highlight one square in Excel,  you can't paste an entire page.   Your highlighted area in Excel needs to be larger than the data you're pasting.  Even still, you'll get a message that says, "Data on the Clipboard is not the same size and shape of the selected area. Do you want to paste the data anyway?"  If you say 'OK', it'll paste.

I'm still only able to paste in black-and-white, though. Something must've changed with the last update. I sent a ticket

What works for me is to open Word & Excel.  Copy the FSS report page into Word, then cut the right hand column and paste beneath the left hand column.  Then cut again and paste into three excel columns and type in WE manually in a separate row.  Obviously, if you define, for instance, "High High" in your logic, then you will have to manually type that extra "High".

Thanks for the tips - I will try that next recruiting period. That will save a ton of time.

copy and paste as text, works great, but the colors don't carry over.  Then I shade in each box w/the appropriate color for potential.  Ditto for your own teampage.

CS told me that they only changed the font colors, nothing else.  I suspect the the orange is too light; the blue is too  close to black.  That's why Excel doesn't recognize them.
I've never used Chrome before but am going to experiment with it this afternoon.

I downloaded Chrome and the colors transfer to Excel properly, just as hughesjr said. Thanks

You should be able to just slightly adjust your spreadsheets anyway and have them recognize grey and the bold format instead of the colors they were initially programmed for...
