My question to some of the more experienced owners is where should this bunch play?
My top choices are:

The Baker Bowl
Forbes Field
Shea Stadium

Any line-up opinions?

I figure to go:
Brescher
Frisch
Mantle
Bonilla
Wilmot
Spiezio
Ashby
Pitcher
Weiss

Lots of average D made worse by dead ball pitchers. Something with - hitting I would think, no?

Is  Robinson Field an option?   All those switch hitters will bat LH 2/3 rds of the time right?  Wilmot, Bonilla and Mantle will hit some bombs, help a brother out.

.........................................................................

I would be nervous about getting hits in a park like Shea.

I don't know what your doubles #'s are but if you think you're gonna be SIGNIFICANTLY better than most teams I would use the BOWL over FORBES.

I like Robinson too... you won't hit a ton of HRs but those you do will come from the left side. Your pitchers won't give up too many no matter what park you choose. Or maybe Chase Field?

I was look for a park with an alliterative name like The Baker Bowl or Petco Park
12/20/2011 11:05 PM
Even limited to alliterative options I would think you could find somebody better than Bescher for the money, no?
12/21/2011 12:33 AM
Well I was also going for exclusively switch hitters and no clones. Do you have another player in mind?

for an alliterative park you might be best suited for PNC Park. Forbes would be OK too.

Take 06 Sammy Strang and put him in a corner OF spot.  I guarantee you, he won't disappoint.

And if you take McLemore, hit him 9th to maximize his PAs and to turn your lineup over and be in scoring position with his OBP and steals.

Other options include Tom Tresh, Tommy Tucker and Tuck Turner--I'm not claiming they are better, just listing other alliterative switch-hitting OF's...
