Getting fired in D1 Topic

I'm pretty sure I'm going to get fired from Pitt after this season.  I've had a miserable run but I'm wondering if anyone can tell me what to expect.  Is it common to be able to go back to a low D1 conference at a D prestige school, or will I be forced into D2?  I'm waiting to get fired instead of leaving now because I don't want to take the loyalty hit.

In the past, you'd be able to go back to a low D1 conference if fired from a BCS school, but who knows what will happen with the current hiring logic, where even decent coaches who are meeting expectations at B baseline schools are currently only eligible for D or D-minus jobs.

I always look at firings for curiousity sake and don't recall anyone getting fired before their 8th season at a school, so you will be fine.

I've seen people fired after 7 seasons, but again, this is all based on the old hiring logic. I don't think anyone knows how firings will be handled with the new logic, even after the current issues are fixed.
