How often do FA drop their demands?  Does anyone know the timing?  After FA signing period, before ST, after ST, after Amateur draft?

Any insight would be appreciated.

i believe the first time they'll do it is after the free agent signing period.

If no one offer them a contract, they'll lower their demands during FA.   They will continue to drop all season.

the amount they drop all season is based on the number of games, once the preseason begins, if a player is asking for 162,000 , he will always ask for that prorated amount, so after 5 games, he will ask for 157000, and after 20, he will ask for 142,000 etc...

They will start dropping the last 24 hours of FA.

They will continue to drop all the way through Spring Training games.

Once the last ST is played and we go into the preparing for regular season phase, the demands stop dropping.

Once regular season games begin, the demands start dropping again on a prorated per game basis as described by Steve.
