The Randomness of Last Second Shots Topic

I, dare I say others, may be tired of the randomness of last second shots. I want my top players taking that shot, don't you?

Kobe over Shaq every time

Jordan over Pippen, well most times

I would think a simple script with check boxes would magnify the chance of the player or players you choose shooting the last second shot, why isn't this an easy reality???

Lead me to the thread that answers this, thanks.

all you can do is control your distro generally - which will affect the odds on that play and any other play

there may be factors within the game that channel that last shot - like IQ and various skills and the relative skills of players on the floor - depends on details I dont know about how the engine allocates opportunities

you also can control whether your team looks for a 3 pointer or takes the ball inside at the end in close games

but there is no on target setting - if there were, should the defense have a setting that lets them double one player at the end of the game?  how would the setting operate?  interesting idea - not on my list of top ten new features or changes

Interesting that you choose Jordan over Pippen...didn't John Paxson hit a big game-winner for the Bulls?  Steve Kerr?
For the Lakers - Derek Fisher.

It's not always the star player who actually takes the last shot.

Fisher's was off of a rebound, not a set play.  Doesn't count.

Lets not forget "Big Shot" Robert Horry and his 7 championship rings. Yes seven.

That was Robert Horry.  Fisher's shot came with .4 seconds left against the Spurs off an inbounds play.  He counts.

They both count. Fisher also hit several clutch shots for us against the Magic in the finals, and Robert Horry is, well, Robert Horry
