I think he will eat 90% of his opposing SF's for breakfast, especially on the boards. If I was in you're position, I would ask myself, "do I have another player who can rebound at the same (or higher) level to play PF and allow this guy to slide down to SF?"
IMHO he can play either position, but I personally love players like him to play as a SF. Also, as long as his ATH is 70+, he will be a proficient scorer if his LP is around 50.
As a side note, height doesn't matter nowadays
