Im just curious as to what people are doing with regard to halftime adjustments. Ive always had the approach of letting the positioning change regardless of whether I was winning. Ive noticed recently that some very good coaches arent doing the same so figured why not put it out there. Thoughts?

I've done the same thing you do, but I have no bearing whatsoever on what works

I make my decision on a game-by-game basis, but the majority of the time I do auto-adjust, regardless of the halftime score. I understand the reasoning behind not doing it, and realize that a bad shooting half can skew the results, but usually I figure I'd rather compensate if I've guessed wrong about how an opponent is going to attack me, rather than leave things as they are.

I typically auto-adjust, but I'm curious how you know other coaches are not.

They talk about it openly in the CC #rocketscience

If every game has the same defensive setting for both halves, the coach has set auto-adjust to 'never'.  Sometimes no adjustment is needed but, over several games, it will change if the coach is using auto-adjust

Thanks allblack, makes sense.  Apparently more effort than I'm willing to put in (and it shown in my records since returning to HD).
