my team going forward Topic

so my season just ended in the 2nd round of the NT. I'm happy but not satisfied. But I have some questions for people who put more effort into the game for me...

first - what would we expect my prestigue to be next year? i think i'm a high B- right now, i went to the second round, coach of the year, CT champ and Regular season co-champ. also i think i might have at least 1 player drafted. I'm hoping you guys say b+ but i expect B to be honest.

second - do you guys think i'd be eligible for a BCS job? My goal is to go to the big 12 - and baylor really sucks in Phelan. have I done enough?

third - assuming I stay and am either a B or B+, what type of recruits should I aim for? I've never been above a b- at the DI level before. do I am for top 20 at positions? stay close to home still? go internaitonal? what do you guys think I need?

thanks in advance. and to those still playing in Phelan, good luck.

Hey just curious, what kind of recruits would you go for when you were in the D+ range? I ask because thats the situation that I'm in right now. I hope that you get a BCS job offer, you've done a heck of a job at Texas Southern!

when i was down there i went for the guys with lots of potential that were on the top end of the DII pulldowns. the first two years are all about growth, get guys PT, get lots of growth, set yourself up for a big jump in year 3. as you go from D+ to C- to C you move up the ladder ranking wise, but stay high potential - unless you get lucky and have a guy within 50 miles then attack,

You should be qualified for a BCS job, especially if you're shooting for a lower prestige school (B- and under).

Thank you trobone! When you say "unless you get lucky and have a guy within 50 miles then attack", what kinda ranking player are you talking about?

Trobone,

You will still be a b-, but you should be eligible for Baylor.

Cheers.

at D+ it depends on potentials... again, without the high potentials no one is really worth getting as a D+ school IMO? a 550 player with high-highs all over the place will end up being better than a 600 player with average potentials.

but if you can find a 580+ with high-highs then that's gold for a d+ or c school IMO.

again, just my strategy - not saying it's the best way.

You will be eligible for a BCS school, just probably not one that is at an A, or one with a A+ baseline.  You would be well-qualified for Baylor.

You will be a B- or B next year.  If the Mtn West is good, you'll be a B, otherwise B-.  LOT harder to improve prestige at D1 than at D2/D3.

I think you will be at a B-, but B is possible. You will be qualified for B-/B prestige BCS schools.

similar question for my team. I'm thinking that I'm a lock for C+, no chance for B- (especially since I just got knocked out of T25 rankings after this am game simmed) unless I get someone drafted:

in case anyone is curious i ended up going to a B....

and that's before the NBA draft - i think 2 guys have a chance... but I only expect one to have his name called.

well im praying you don't get anyone drafted. would make it tough for me to recruit with one more B+ team in TX.
