Is this just creative writing or does this message mean something?

"Just got the word on the signing of recruit A, I hope you know what you are doing.  I have heard nothing but problems about this kid.  You know the administration won't put up with that."

It used to mean something.  They used to have something they were implementing where players would have 'Issues'. . . the issues were dropped, but the messages remained.

The personality stuff is only window dressing these days, though some times it's hilariously conflicting.

Man, my boys and I were just at a party talking about you guys. Then we called the bowling alley to ask them how they carry their 16 pound balls. It was sweet. 16 pound balls! But, yeah cool, I think it would be great to play with the balls at Oklahoma St..

Congratulations! Just got the word on the signing of John Harris. Seems like a great kid from what I've heard. Should be a model student/athlete.
