I'd always gotten the sense that not enough guards were being drafted, but never actually looked at the numbers until this past season in Phelan, when I noticed that ZERO of the 19 EE's were PG/SG, and only 7 of the 60 players drafted were PG/SG.
So, I checked all the available draft results I still had in my inboxes for the 4 worlds in which I have a team... Smith, Phelan, Knight and Rupp. I had the 18 (total amongst them) most recent drafts in these 4 worlds, and the average number of PG/SG drafted in those 18 drafts was 12.6, which is only half as many as you would expect, if all positions should be represented equally.
To me, this is an extreme bias that needs to be corrected (I'll be sending a ticket shortly). I guess the question is whether a.) Not enough quality guards are being generated or b.) The EE/draft logic is skewed in favor of big men.
Or maybe I should just start running 5-guard lineups at D1 to make sure I never get hit hard by EE's!
