Going after a recruit who is 50 miles away from me. Home visits cost $309 and Campus visits cost $806. Which is the better recruiting tool in this situation?

the real answer is what you have as the value of a HV vs the value of a CV. If the cost of the HV x the value difference between the two is lower than the cost of the CV the HV is better...

(ETA: for example if you believe that a CV is worth 2x the effort of a HV, then the HV is a better value until 2 of them cost more than 1 CV...)
