Good stuff. Bautista '11 is one of my favorite 3Bs, as long as you keep him away from deadball pitchers.

Rico Petrocelli's A/B rating is his SS rating....he was B+/C- at 3b that season....and what about  '93 & '91 Tony Phillips at 2b?

There's a Ryne Sandberg and Tony Phillips that should be on there.

And Tim (?) Foli that plays everywhere for 300K.

I admittedly play in high cap leagues so I don't know alot of the 80/100 mil secrets.  I added Phillips and Sandberg.  Foli does not fall into any of my criteria with his 58 PA's and .173 average.

Or how about Gary Carter's '75 season where he is, I believe, primarily an OF and secondary position of C with an A or A+ arm...

Or the '89 HoJo with his A+ defense At SS and 40/40 potential...

and is it the '21 Aaron Ward with an A/A season at 3B or 2B where he's primarily the opposite?

I've used 1917, 1919 and 1920 Buck Weaver (depending on cap) at SS with great results in the past...he's one of my favorites for out of position.

Great post. My criticism would be with George Brett. His primary rating at third base is pretty good too. When I think of 'all secondary team' I think of guys (like most of the ones you chose) that are especially valuable because of the secondary rating. I think Brett's value changes little by being able to play first.

I believe the best bargains for secondary positions is at catcher where you can save a lot of money.

Thanks booger, I agree on Brett. This is not really meant to be some "best of" list, I really intended to help newer guys understand how to use the database and think outside the box when drafting players.  Truth is that I would hope that guys post their favorites and those players get a little more love.  Understanding how to use these guys can be helpful in all leagues from 255mil Open's to the Blacklist League and Exclusive Ownership where you need to a bit smarter with your drafts.  Guys like '40 and '45 Stan Hack can be a sleeper pick when people are fighting over Mike Schmidt and Lou Gehrig..  Anyway, thanks for the input and feel free to drop some players on the thread.
