Question for the old timers Topic

I had never taken the time to do the math but upon noticing that I'm about to play a conference mate for the 100th time (more accurately the two schools are facing each other that amount), I noticed that the numbers don't add up.  I play this team at least twice a season so I should have hit the century mark a few seasons back, potentially even earlier depending on the frequency of postseason matchups.

So I guess the question I have is whether the historical records are a bit incomplete or if there was sometime of  realignment that took place that would explain why my team hasn't yet hit the century mark against any team despite being in season 54.

They didn't keep the records at the beginning. I don't remember when it began.  That's why your history is short.

I remember when that feature was added, so it wasn't always there. IIRC, they didn't have data to go back and add in the results from seasons prior to that feature being added, so it would be incomplete for worlds that were open at the time of implementation.

in the early days of HD, the records were kept in the garage in the memory of someones Atari system and there was not room for such information

If I remember correctly... they actually had those numbers for the first few seasons but a neighbor kid hacked the Atari system one night when the garage door was left up and loaded them into a maze-craze cartridge. No-one could break his code and they had to start over.

yeah, but then there was the backup - which could have saved the data, but it was on a floppy that tk kept in the shoebox with his baseball cards and when his mom tossed those the backup was gone
