Sheirbon and I just went from 2 teams to 4 teams in our conference. So I was thinking a 4 team roundup. Right now we have a rookie (C level), a medium (B level), and 2 good coaches/teams (A level). So I was thinking we could match up prospectfully with the same in your conference to keep things weighted equally. I'm thinking an annual mini tourny with theses caviats.
A Level - Top 4 teams in each Conf as determined by how they finished last season. (RPI - NT result)
B Level - next 4 teams
C level - bottom 4 teams
Schedule: 2 cross-over games each season depending on who, and how many, want to participate, and slated for games 5, 6, 7, or 8.
A vs 2 As or 1A and 1B
B vs 2 Bs or 1B and 1C
C vs 2 Cs
Here's the caviat, you have to beat a team in order to move up, or on, to another team.
So say I play 2 games agianst 1A and 1B team from your conference and I beat the B, but lose to the A. Next season I can choose to pick another B or A team instead for the B team I beat, but the A team I lost to, I have to play them annually until I beat them before I can move on to somebody else.
I'm thinking we can get a mini-rivalry and annual smalk talk session going, as well as help "Both" our RPIs and SOSs each season.
I'm gonna call it "The Hoopsfight at the Wooden Corral"
Anyways, just something to think about.
