If I redshirt a junior and he gets mad and his WE plummets 60+ points to a 1, then will he definitely quit at year end, so I get the recruiting cash for the extra spot?

Not necessarily

You may just be stuck next year with a Jr with 1 WE who didn't improve last year and won't for the next 2. If that is your plan you might as well just cut him now, take the walk on and use the money next year.

Can't cut him after the end of signings and if I cut him before signings, I would have lost the $30,000+ in rollover money I am getting a result of not having any openings.  He is pretty much maxed out, at 630 or so, so he is not improving much anyway.  Any idea if he is more likley to leave if he is redshirted and hates it or just doesn't get any PT?
