I was toying around with the draft formula just now and wondered, "Why don't they have the option to do this by position?" Clearly, pitchcalling factors higher in a catcher's draft position than it does elsewhere, and defense matters more to shortstops.

I guess the challenge from there is integrating the two since a master list has to be formed, and I have no idea how anyone would get around that, but I thought I'd throw this half-baked idea out there anyway.
