Hi. Having recently posted a similar question myself about Mathewson, whose pitch counts are frustrating to deal with even if his actual performance even well below 100% is very good anyway - I realized that this thread bore bumping back up.
crazystengel, the thread about an update - which is itself quite old now - says that there will definitely be a shift from pitch count to IP for determining fatigue. I have a general sense that this is good, though better perhaps for newer players here than for veterans, and to some degree eliminating a dimension of play in the setting of pitch counts. But can you explain the connection with the parks used (assuming this change ever happens) ?
Why would pitchers' parks be less used because of this. Maybe grading papers all day has fogged my brain as I take a short coffee break to browse the forums here before getting back to work, and I have the sense (knowing the quality of your other posts here) that you are telling us something important. But I may not be the only one to whom the relationship is not immediately apparent.
How does it work?
