What are they based on? Stats or ratings? Or 50/50? I'm a little ****** off that my Sac State team lost a player that was crucial to my team next season, while ACC and SEC teams return players that are 950 or even 1000+ ratings. I can't exactly just reload on studs like those teams.

I mean hell, UK brought back TWO 1000+ players. 

Was it a big man that you lost? Were the UK players guards or SF's? 

When did you check?

If you look in the team news, it mentions both players have left.

The best player on Kentucky right now is 915 rating, and he is a senior.

I went to rankings - player ratings then to the SEC where I saw the two UK guys. I just noticed that that page hasn't been updated to reflect early entrants.

My guy was a PF. But he wasn't nearly as good as this guy

Yeah, that's around a 150 rating difference, I don't know how the EE system works, maybe something you should ask CS?

The only thing I know is that EEs and graduates cannot exceed 6 players.

It's kind of ironic that I'm a UK fan in real life and ******** about early entrants in WIS I guess. The only reason I am upset is that I was counting on a strong season next season to keep my prestige up and hopefully jump to a better school. My current reputation is only A- because I made too many cuts when I took over the team. I'm worried that I won't be able to land a better job this off season and that my team will take a step back next season without my best player who I was counting on.

pjb -- take this to CS. Push it to seble. The process needs to be made better. The more he hears it, the better chance there is he'll actually do something about it.

metsmax and girt are very successful, longtime coaches - so am I being unreasonable here? Or do I have a gripe?

The Virginia guy likely stayed because the team went to the PIT and lost in 2nd round.  Dont see a reason for the Miami guy staying.

It is clear that there is some either random or personality factor also involved in EE.  Guys who are more talented dont always go.  I've accepted it.  Sometimes it is painful, sometimes a great player on your team stays

I'd ask how it is that he left and the Miami guy didnt - but the answer will likely be "lots of variables"

I had a guy leave early after a PIT 2nd. He was good, but not superb. Drafted #33. PF of course...

I'll add one more to metsmax's list: 

4. Big men are much more likely to go EE/get drafted than guards.

In Phelan a couple of seasons ago, there were 18 or 19 players that declared early... not a single one was a guard. That prompted me to check all the NBA drafts I still had in my inbox from past seasons (I think 18 in all... it was a sample size of over 1000 players). I found that only half as many guards were drafted as you'd expect if all positions were treated equally. Which means that big men are 2 to 3 times more likely to go EE or get drafted than guards. I did send a ticket about this, and was told that they were going to add this to their list of fixes to make, as they agreed that there should not be this bias towards big men.

Underclassmen then make their decision based on where they project combined with their current class. So a sophomore would require a higher projection than a junior in order for them to leave for the draft."

ask them where in the KB article it mentions that bigs are 4 times more likely than guards to declare...
