FSSS Before the Rollover? Topic

Does anyone else buy an extra state or 2 in order to get a jump on recruiting? I realize prestige may go down (or up) but I still like finding potential targets...

If I have leftover cash then I will buy a state or two close to me. Or else I'm bored as heck after I get eliminated and get a headstart scouting, like you said.

I'm sure others may save their cash and wait.

When i buy a state as soon as recruting is over i cannot see the potentials on the next round of recruits is that correct?

Correct. You have to wait for the recruits to be generated before using FSS.

Yea you can do that but I still think its better to wait until after the season rolls over so you can buy a bunch of states together to get the discount.

i often do, not really to get a jump on recruiting, but to see if there is anybody really awesome right next door. the hope is ill have something to look forward to, but usually it just ends in rejection.

If I have money left over I generally go ahead and buy whatever FSS states I normally would have bought. I figure its better to get the full value of the money than let it rollover and only get 25%.

It rolls over at the same time new recruit generation happens...  You've already lost the rest of the money...

I really wish they'd give us the scholarship money for any seniors in their 4th years of eligibility as soon as recruits are generated.  It shouldn't be overly difficult to program it such that if we change schools any incoming coaches would have no scouted states and all their money back.  Perhaps slightly more difficult but certainly not impossible to make it such that you would still have those same states scouted - and paid for - at your new school if you move.  That would prevent coaches from being able to gain any advantage by scouting with one school, moving, and keeping the data from the original scouting stored.  If you've overspent your new school's budget, no big deal, really...  You have $0 left to sign anybody anyway, so who cares?
