So is the issue that you think you should be qualified for the Big 6 jobs? Or that every job besides them are listed as step backwards?
The problem is both. I should have some lateral and some big 6 opening. It is ridiculous to say that hundreds of openings are a step backward and not have any that are a step forward from a school that isn't Big 6. Either I am doing so well that everything is a step backward but a few (meaning I should qualify for the best jobs) or I am only doing pretty good in which case a lot of the programs should be viewed as similar to me.
The one that annoys me obviously is the lack of Big 6, but I think the failure to offer Big 6 is highlighted as a problem when everything else is a step backward.
WIS can sit there and tell me it's working the way it is meant to, but if so, this is sorry. If we are taking into account longer histories, I have 2 National Championships in my 10 year history, that should count for a lot. Yes they are D3, but they show a great coaching ability. Follow that up with taking a team is at the lowest prestige and having them qualify for 3 straight national tournaments, I'm sorry, I should be the hottest coaching prospect there is. I've taken a school that hadn't been to the NT in almost 15 years and took them to 3 straight. I also beat 4 human coached big 6 teams last year (5 including pre-season).
Worst of all, the Virginia Tech job is the same prestige (C+) as my current JMU team and they aren't even a keep looking or a long shot, but a not-qualified.
