Does anyone besides me think Iona is deserving of an at-large bid and also think they can cause Marquette problems?

I think they aren't deserving of their at-large bid, but I do believe they can cause Marquette problems.

Iona didn't have any top 50 wins. If they had beat Purdue, they would of had more top 50 opportunities against Temple, Alabama, and/or Wichita State. If they had gotten past Purdue, I would consider them worthy of an at-large.

Overall, they are a very strong team with one of the best point guards in the country (Scott Machado). They also get great offensive production from Glover and Jones, and they are the #1 scoring team in the country.

Assuming they beat BYU in the first four, their game vs. Marquette should be fun to watch.

meeper, are you a big MAAC fan?  Glover, Machado, and Jones. They will be fun to watch, i loved watching them at the TU Center against Siena.

I know Drexel had a great record and finished out strong but dont you think they would have based it on what people want to see? think about it Glover Machado and Jones together for the last time we'll see what they can do

No, I just followed Iona throughout the season. They were a very interesting team to track, I was disappointed when they lost to Fairfield, as it seemed like their hopes of making the tourney were over. I was shocked to see Iona was on the bracket on Selection Sunday. We'll see what they can do against a team like Marquette on Thursday (assuming they win play-in).

BYU may be the best ever team seeded 14. 26 wins in a three bid conference. Carlino is a UCLA transfer who is a stud along with brandon davies.

I honestly don't get what BYU is doing as a 14 seed, I didn't expect them to the second to last team in. I expected an 11 seed at the lowest for them.

But being paired up with Iona might really hurt them.
