The D-League -- NBA40759 -- 9 in Topic

The NBA  has always been broken into divisions.   Some years there were as few as 4 teams in a division.   Other years there were as many as 7 teams in a division.

The rules for this league are very straight forward.   PICK A YEAR, PICK A DIVISION.   $48 million cap.  No rookies.  No waiver wire.   No twisting.   You can choose partial seasons, but the seasons must all be from the same year and from the same division.

Refer to the following website for divisional membership by year:  http://www.basketball-reference.com/leagues/

When you pick a year and a division, please post it below.   Divisions cannot be picked twice.

You must abide by the following rules based on how big your division of choice is.

FOUR TEAM DIVISION: You must pick three players per team.
FIVE TEAM DIVISION: You must pick at least two players per team.   No more than three.
SIX TEAM DIVISION: You must pick two players per team.
SEVEN TEAM DIVISION: Every team must be represented.  No more than two players per team.

thanks guys...will sitemail everyone if(hopefully when) we get closer to 20 entries.   I messed around with this a little before posting the league idea and you can definitely create some fascinating teams, at a salary level that isn't too small or too high

You just buy a team like normal and enter the league code 40759.   If the league doesn't fill up, then the teams get released and you can enter your team in another private or open league.  Just make sure you post your division choice here and I will check it when the league begins to see if you followed the rules.  If you want to sitemail me your team I can let you know if you followed them or not.   Would love to have you join! :)

I am glad to hear it is still difficult to build a team even with a division like 10-11 Southeast...means the league is probably a good idea(hopefully it fills)

Welcome...you can join the league whenever you want.   You pay then...if the league doesn't fill, then you get a team credit for another league.   Note I changed the league number at the top
