Ok, got my top guy P Dubose which is the positive. As for the negative, I drafted 6 pitchers with my first 7 picks.
Got to learn from this, so trying to figure out what else I could do differently without manually ranking a hundred or two guys since I'm a HBD noob. I did NOT use the formula builder and only used the target/weight settings. I equally weighted all positions at 5 except for DH which I dropped to 3. Wanted to take best available talent regardless of position so should be fine so far I think.
I targeted 2 C, 2 1B, 1 2B, 1 3B, 2 SS, 1 LF, 2 CF, 1 RF, 0 DH, 7 SP, 4 RP, and 2 ANY. This I believe is where I first messed up. Looking back, I think I should have used fewer SP and RP (5-6 and 2 maybe) and converted the rest to ANY to just take best available to finish out the draft?? Is that how the ANY works? Or would the sim still give me a 65 overall P versus a 61 overall 3B using any ANY spot even if I didn't have a 3B? That leads me to....
I also set threshold to 0 which was my other mistake I think since I didn't manually rank anything other than the top 3 guys (had the #3 overall pick). I think I should keep it low (maybe 2-3?) since I still want the best available player for the most part, but don't want a repeat of this draft.
