Redshirt Question Topic

Hi all:
  I had two guys I recruited that both sent negative messages when I tried to send them redshirt messages during recruiting.  I went ahead and marked both of them to mop up for exhibition and am wondering if it is worthwhile trying to redshirt one of them now?  Thanks for the advice

You can keep trying to redshirt them. Sometimes they will take it. If the work ethic goes down to 0 after putting it on and taking it off again, they will probably not take the RS. I've had guys say no two or three times and then take the RS but only once or twice.

tbird - don't know which two you're talking about, but Eakin and Fischer are the most likely to accept a redshirt (because they have upperclassmen ahead of them at their position).  But it can't hurt to keep trying because you can always take it off them.  WE always bounces back to original  rating (I think this is true, has never NOT for me).

Thanks-- appreciate the help.  Am going to try up until I can't anymore with Fischer and Dear.  Didn't think about Eakin but like that thought.  Do you guys redshirt non-freshman with success?

I find it hard to RS sophs. I've RS seniors before just for growth and class balance. Oh and JUCO guys are good to RS.

I've never had a guy get upset about being redshirted when there were two players ahead of him at his position.  Maybe coincidence, maybe not.  I think there's something to it.  I'll keep doing it until it stops working.
