I've been playing this for about a year now so I feel like I have a pretty good understanding of the game, but I'm still trying to improve.  

Can anyone tell me why this team is struggling?  I'm playing teams I think I should dominate and then I'm only favored by two and lose.  My only thoughts could be lack of speed.

Couple thoughts:

The eight underclassmen aren't  helping...IQ matters.

I think you need to up your expectations at ATH/SPD/DEF at least for your guards....I try to get them to 70/70/70....it doesn't always work but that's my goal.

Thurman is probably taking to many shots...the ATH in the 40's hurts.

The sophomore centers would be studs if their speeds were 30 or more, that 8 is going to hurt in the press.

Your team is young, and your few upperclassmen don't have much ath/spd. You're doing about as well as I would expect with your team's talent level.

Ok thanks.  I figured this was probably it.  I just felt that last season's team was worse but it probably is the IQ thing.

With Thurman, he wasn't shooting at all early in the season and now the last few games he's chucking.  Just trying to find a good place in the middle with him.
