So this season in Wooden D3 a group of owners took over an entirely empty conference and filled it! Our ultimate goal is to become a Power Conference one day in possibly the hardest D3 world to compete in! There are currently 4 power conferences and we want to make that 5! Our rival conference is the NJ conference and we want to become a Power Conference before them! The only way to do this is to make sure our conference is full! It's a very fun chat board with almost all rebuilds! All teams offenses/ defenses can be changed to your liking due to it being a rebuild! This is your chance to have an elite team and build it the way YOU want to! If you are interested let me know either via site mail or on this post. I am not sure how many openings there will be but I am guessing about 2-5. SO let me know if you want to have a team that will eventually be an Elite D3 team in an elite D3 conference!

Anyone else interested!? Ive only gotten 3 site mails common guys! This is a great opportunity to build a top conference from nothing! We need the best group of coaches we can get! Let me know if you are interested!!!

This is a good conference to rebuild. Check it out.

Definitely check it out. The NJ conference needs some punching bags.

Ok so I'm starting to get a feeling a lot more coaches than expected will be leaving... to anyone that joins I have an offer. If you have a 20+ win season I will send you a gift card of $5 and if you make the NT I will add on another $5 if your team was under .500 the previous season ! If you join the SUNYAC next season this offer is open to YOU! If you are interested in this offer please let me know! Thanks

You use too many exclamation points.  Maybe the reason everybody left is because trying to recruit against the NJAC and Upstate without NJ/Upstate cash is hellatiously painful?
5/14/2012 2:38 PM
If you want to be the best, you have to beat the best.
5/14/2012 2:59 PM
i would, because i am tired of having to recruit in a big state where if i have one slot open its expensive to fss and the nearest recruit outside of california is 350 miles away - but wouldn't i have the same problem in new york?

5/14/2012 3:05 PM
no cuz it is very close to the New England Area which had some very small states plus NJ isn't as big as NY so that would be much better than in a place like California

More the merrier in Wooden D3.  I hope people will continue to fill the SUNYAC back up - after we finish filling up our conference first, that is ;)
5/15/2012 8:52 AM
heck, I'm in NY and rarely scout it...
5/15/2012 9:17 AM
Ok we lost six... who wants to take on the challenge of building up a conference in the hardest D3 World!? Plus you can make some cash too;) come join the SUNYAC! sign-ups begin on the 18th and we'd love to have YOU!

Ok so last season, as previously stated, we had a full conference of 12 people. However, due to some coaches thinking they would have success right away and not wanting to rebuild a team(which may be the best thing to do!) we lost 6 coaches. Here are the 6 remaining teams:

SUNYAC East:
Brockport: www.whatifsports.com/hd/TeamProfile/News.aspx I believe the owner is coming back to claim this team, he told me that he forgot to renew and would pick them back up as soon as he could. However if that falls through.. they do have their top guy returning but will have 7 open schollies next season and will be a great opportunity for you to rebuild a team and put in whatever offense/defense you want. That will be a perfect opportunity for you to rebuild a team the way YOU want to. This team was above .500 last season so you will not be eligible for the money(look at the 5th post in the thread about prize money).

SUNY Cortland: www.whatifsports.com/hd/TeamProfile/Ratings.aspx This team could be very good next season. They are only losing one player and the guy couldn't play defense if his life depended on it. He was the PG but had awful defense and his BH was mediocre at best and not a great shooter by any means so not too big of a loss. Lol but anyways 4 juniors, 2 sophomores and a solid class of 5 freshman. From what I heard from the previous coach, they all have a lot of High-High categories so they will be a good class and no need to recruit a lot the first year. So if you wanna win some money this would be the team to do that with because they were under .500 last season. You can use that 1 schollie for a JUCO to make the team better and boom! Some serious money could be made here! I highly suggest YOU should take over this team if you don't feel like recruiting a lot right out of the get-go and wanna win a lot.

SUNY Geneseo: www.whatifsports.com/hd/TeamProfile/Ratings.aspx Not a big recruiter?? Well this is the team for you! They have everyone back next season and the season after that, you only have to recruit one guy. This is not the kind of team that you would want if you wanted to start making it your own right away and doesn't seem like it would win that much the first season. Due to that, if you take them over next season and stay a second season, I will offer the same deal with prize money and bump it up to $6! Hows that sound!? The freshman from last season are all pretty good, they have great defense too! There are 5 of them and in 3 more seasons that could be a great squad! This could potentially be the better teams and YOU can possibly have the chance to make more cash than you would with any other team!

SUNYAC West:
Plattsburgh State: www.whatifsports.com/hd/TeamProfile/Ratings.aspx The top 2 players will be leaving but you will have 3 open schollies. There will be 4 juniors, 3 sophomore and 2 freshman so the classes are pretty spaced out which is great for being a contender year in and year out! If you don't like the offense/defense they run, you can still change it, I would just suggest running the current offense/defense while practicing a new scheme. They do have a solid class from last year. One of the freshman is already a 506! This team could be very good in 3 more seasons along with YOUR first class this season. They too were under .500 last season so they are eligible for the money too. They also had a HOF coach last season so the recruits must be pretty damn good! This could, due to the spread out classes, a major D3 power! All the top schools have even classes and starting this next season, YOU will be able to raise your prestige right away and possibly win some money!

SUNY Oswego: www.whatifsports.com/hd/TeamProfile/Ratings.aspx Now this is an interesting situation. Up until last season, they hadn't had a a coach for 8 seasons. However, they have a beast sophomore class coming back! Including a 602! Click on the link and check him out, he's pretty good! I knew the past owner so the Freshman still have a lot of highs and each look pretty decent already! This team was also under .500 and with that sophomore class coming back, you have a big chance to win some money! This team will be very solid over the next two seasons and YOU will have 3 schollies next season to recruit and make that team even better for the next 2 seasons!

SUNY IT: www.whatifsports.com/hd/TeamProfile/Ratings.aspx Basically the same idea as the team above. Except only losing 2 players and have 8 sophomores. Thats a big group and the next 2 seasons they could really go to work! They too were under .500 so you can win some money! That is definitely possible for next season! The freshman are ok but i know the owner and he ghosted at times last season and he told me her never got around to doing the practice plan so that is why they didn't progress as well. This team could be a monster in 2 seasons with the right coach and then your rebuild would begin. So it presents an opportunity in which your prestige will raise a tremendous amount over the next 2 seasons right in time for your first big class! Trust me having a B or B- prestige will give you much better recruits over a C- prestige. So this may be the BEST situation for YOU to be successful and have an elite team.

Just wondering, if I don't sitemail you or post in this thread like you said, can I still get a team?  Or have you somehow became the gatekeeper to a private conference?  I mean, do I really have to let you know if I want to pick up a D3 team in this conference?  Really?

Well, you posted in this thread...so does that mean you want to pick up a team in SUNYAC?
