What type of ratings should I look for in a first base coach? I know baserunning "duh" but what else stands out?

No.. at least, not if you mean as a 1B coach might in real life. It only helps to affect the base-running rating, which effectively means that it matters not one little bit.  Paying more than minimum doesn't make much sense for 1B or 3B coaches.
