I've been searching old threads and FAQs for hit and run advice but I can not find any.

If I put an aggresive hit and run style on my team, does this impact the hitters approach at the plate as he will chase pitches?

What determines a better hit and run team, a team with good contact hitters, or a team with base speed?

Any other information that I did not ask for would be welcomed.

Purely SSS(and it could be because it's what I expected so I "saw" it that way).

Less homers and double plays, more strikeouts and CS.   Higher contact is better.

I'll try and give you some information you didn't ask for.  :)   I ran a simleague baseball team a couple years ago designed for the sole purpose of testing out the impact of the H 'n' R play. I drafted guys with almost no walks (as those are wasted) and almost no strikeouts. I set the H 'n' R setting at 5 and was very unimpressed. My team's runs scored was about average relative to their OPS. So basically in the best case scenario, for a team that is designed for that one purpose, it was a wash. I would conclude that for any team not designed specifically for the H 'n' R play, it would be bad. Always seemed dumb anyway.

I like to call hit n runs with the bases loaded.

It certainly scares the catcher with a guy bearing down on him and a guy swinging, I like that strategy.

I only do it if my best base stealer is on 3rd.
