Good or Bad DII signing. Topic

He has above average ratings and potential for a DII freshman but has ABSOLUTELY NO work ethic. Need opinions on weather or not this was a good move to sign him.

he's fine if you just need a career backup.  as long as youre not counting on him to be your franchise post-player and you have other guys that you can develop then you'll be all set.

i personally don't take players below 25 or 30 WE, but that doesn't mean it can't be rationalized in certain situations

as long as he doesn't take as long to learn an offense like the PG I signed on my D3 team he should be fine.  I signed a PG with decent skills but fairly low potential for growth.  I thought he would be worth taking since he would be by far the best PG on my roster immediately, but he's taking forever to learn the offense.  At this point because of that, the other PGs are going to catch up to his abilities by the time he's worth putting in the starting lineup.  I would have been better off signing a bench player with more potential.

With a WE that low, he'll probably never reach his max potential, even with a redshirt season and five years worth of development.  He's not a bad player, just realize that alot of the gains he makes during the season could be lost during the offseason.
