does pull downs and drop downs work like it does in d3 Or do you mainly recruit d2 players?

Super-rough rule of thumb.  Search for all D2 players, 4 years eligibility, no max distance or anything.  The highest rated one is your highest direct recruit.  Add 25 or so onto that, and give the guys you like in that range a call.
