We have 4 openings and are the 3rd highest prestige conference in DII Tark. If you do want some competition, but can't get into midamerica or GLV, take a look at the CAA.

And seriously, California is a great place to recruit in DII.   We get some high quality low end DI players that drop to us.  Just in sheer volume, we also have a ton of available players in the magical 360 mile range.

I really wanted to say, if you fall into aejones description of a vagina, but are still willing to take on some competition, you can join CCAA lol. In all seriousness, those guys in the GLV and midamerica are good coaches and always offer some good advice (like coach_billyg and aejones with his thread on how to be a good coach). With that said, the competition is pretty hardcore in there and it shows in their results.

CCAA offers a more laid back, but still competitve conference. The CCAA is not a pushover, but noone in DIV II Tark is getting the results they are. On the flip side, it's not going to always be easy to get into those 2 conferences, or even rebuild a program in there.

Also of our 4 available, there are 2 that are not complete rebuild jobs in bakersfield and sonoma st.

The biggest problem we've had is maintaining a full conference, everytime we've added someone, someone else left. We have a pretty solid group who have been here for awhile now though.
