Does anyone know what the record is for final 4 appearances. In Phelan D3, my Palm Beach Atlantic team just reached the Final 4 for the 5th straight season, and 7 of the last 8 years. I wasn't sure if that was a record or not?

It's obviously a fine accomplishment, but I believe if you looked at Rails or lostmyth resumes you'll probably find something a bit longer.

The most impressive current streak IMO is jake_marley at St.Johns with 10 consecutive Elite 8 appearances. That's unreal for D1.

Wow - that is amazing!

Nope -- coach_billyg had 7 in a row at SIUE in Tark  (not saying he's "the record" but that's the best I found in a search of Naismith, Rupp, Tark and Iba, although if someone got knocked out in the semifinals repeatedly, I might have missed checking into them as I went off championship appearances to search for likely candidates...)

Tip of the cap to jake_marley, who has had St. John's in the Elite 8 for 10 (!!) consecutive seasons in Rupp and that streak is still active.

John Wooden  won 7 in a row from 1967-1973 if anyone can top that

Best streak I've ever seen and will be very hard to duplicate, let alone break.

Take a look at ORs old UConn teams in DI; never seen dominance like that; these new coaches dont know this games history...lol

Would have to 2nd this being most impressive as well.  I lucked into 3 straight FF's at D-1, but with Early Entries and the competition at D-1  I have no idea how someone could have a run like that.

ill post the longest streaks in literally 5 minutes here. i just finished running all that crap, and will probably post it through the day...

the record for final fours is indeed 7 (which was my team, SIUE, in d2 tark). in d1, the record is 4, in d3, the record is 6. 

elites 8s, i did just see that 10 streak of elite 8s at st john, by jake_marley, thats amazing, the d1 record was 8 last i checked (lostmyth). definitely harder to pull off a long run of elite 8s in d1 than d2/d3. the overall record is 14 consecutive.

narcotico has recently blown away the old sweet 16 records, i know at one point i held it at 16. but now hes got 22 (d3 tark, greensboro). thats just a ridiculous figure there if you ask me. seems youd have to get unlucky once. i guess it helps when you have the best team in the country almost every season :) what a program he has there....
