tandems I like:  coach, gin, 'heel

tandems I love: dh, tricky

tandems I loathe:  vance, kat, sappy (though if he uses a different pierce than is the commonly used one it could be cool)

dh has a ridiculous start.

Yes, its been tough trying to build good team with Russell. But, if you look at how fast a lot of the lower usage bigs are going in this draft I'm kind of happy to have drafted Russell. It seems like by the end of round 3 most of the low usage bigs that normally go in rounds 4 and 5 will be snapped up.

russell's better in funk52 than a lot of people give him credit for.  The reason?  Minutes.  3570 minutes, to be exact.  And because of the terrible way WIS figures salary using minutes, the extra price you pay for them is a good thing (less wasted salary).  I always have trouble getting my money's worth on big men because I always use partial seasons that have lower salaries (camby, for example, with his 2314 minute season).

Got to give 98 credit for pairing Rodman with Stoudemire. Makes sense, Rodman's rebounding makes up for Amare's and Amare will have no problem taking the shots that Rodman will give up. I considered pairing Garnett with Amare. Decided that Love's rebounding and 3s were more valuable.

And Shaq with Camby Ash? Ugh.

It probably won't do as good as my Camby + Kareem pairing, but yeah.

The Amare and Rodman combo worked well last season for me....it seems a natural fit for those two players.

a dude out there i think would be perfect for your squad vancem.....

I know that I took Alonzo a bit too high but I wanted some inside scoring with excellent defense.I actually thought that I would have my choice of either Parish or McAdoo with my 3rd round pick. What a fantasy that was. Nash seemed like a great fit along side of Dr J.

Don't know who screwed up their team worse me or coach. I thought  that coach had the best team going for the first 2 picks with Duncan and Stockton. Then he followed that up with Glen Rice and Detlef Schrempf ???  If either one of these squads finishes with more than 45 wins it will be a miracle.

I should have traded all of my picks for banditone's when I had the chance.

Delef played large last season for my team, but then again I hit exactly 45 wins.

I don't  know what's not really to like about Rice & Schrempf. Rice seems to have fallen out of favor but I think he fits. Stockton will probably lead the league in assists so you can afford a low assist shooting guard. Rice gets to the line over 500 times and makes over 200 3's. A rare feat. All this with over 50 efg. At one time he was a WIS staple. And he is only a 4 on usage points, unlike post of the other 25+ scorers who are a 6 or 8. There are other good sg's out there, but most are a 6 and with Duncan already being a 6, I couldn't see that working. I just thought he was the best fit of the 4 usage point sg's left. As for the Schrempf he's a decent rebounder from the sf spot which I needed because right now with having non rebounding guards that's a weakness. The season I'm probably using, much like Rice's gives me 500+ FTA and an efg well over 50 with an amazing 52% on almost 200 3pt attempts. I thought about taking 1 of 2 available centers that I liked but I felt that they we're to high scoring to pair with Duncan inside. There's a ton of low usage high rebound centers that probably would work better next to Duncan. So ultimately, I decided to have my number 2 scorer be a perimeter player and match Duncan up inside with a banger later on. I hope it works out.

The only downside to Rice is the horrid defense.
6/1/2012 12:22 AM
Coach IMO Drexler would have been perfect fit alongside of Stockton and had the right usage to go with Duncan. Drexler dominates Rice in a $52 Million league. Again just my opinion but Schrempf is somewhat weak as an SF here. However, on the offensive side of things your team will be extremely efficient. I am as curious as you are to see how it works out. The offensive has come back to the draft this season which is fun to see.

Schrempf would be balling at SG.  Rice's defense isn't as horrid as it used to be.  People remember 20 defense Rice but it's more like 45 or 47 now.  That's not near as bad... and 3360 minutes of 55% efg% is hard to come by.  His real downside is lack of boards.  A 2-guard that doesn't even give you 10% on the defensive boards won't hardly cut it in this league.

I'm still mad that Redd went at the top of round 3.  People are finally figuring out how godly he is...  Oh and his defense isn't much (if at all) higher than Rice's... and the Redd owner has won the last two draft league ships (ODL & funk52).  Just sayin'  Crazy efg%, tov% and wonderful rebound numbers for the position are just... delicious!

At this point it's a given that you're either going to have a good defensive shooting guard with lower usage or a bad defensive shooting guard with higher usage.

But yeah, I'd take Glide over Rice every time in this league if both are available and a tier-3 usage SG is what I'm looking for.

My next pick is either gonna be a head scratcher or a steal.  I don't think the guy I'm targeting makes it to me.
