Interesting idea on Early Entries... Topic

Ok so hear me out on this. Im thinking it may be cool to be able to try to talk your players into returning to school if they declare for the draft.  The catch is that you would have to use any money left over from recruiting to try to talk them into it. If you spent your entire budget during recruiting period than you are out of luck.  Some players can be "bought" back for a price, while other players will go to the draft no matter how much money you use to persuade them. It would work as say a "coach meeting" or something along those lines for maybe like 500 bucks or so. With enough persuasion maybe they will return to school but maybe they will burn you and you will lose your cash that would have been rollover money. Does this make sense to anyone, ha? Just thought it sounded kinda cool. Thoughts?

discussed from time to time

the most basic thing I think one could do would be to be able to make promises beyond the initial recruiting period - like, kid I promise you will start if you stay or I promise 20 mins if you stay

coach visits would be good too

not saying - I dont think the original poster is saying - that any of these should AUTOMATICALLY stop the EE, but could reduce the probability after a kid sends a message that he is thinking about it.....

im not sure that saying "ill start you" or "you get 20m" is worth a damn, to a player going pro. i mean how many players leave school early, to go pro?

i don't think its a bad idea though. it would have to be substantial i think. more like 20k or so for a 50% chance. that way, a little school could protect key players, but it wouldn't be worth it to the big name schools who reload regularly and easily.

that's sort of like what NCAA football has with players leaving early or transfering.... you use up recruiting minutes (similar to our cash) and see if you can keep them. sometimes they stay, sometimes they leaves.
