What to expect from this team? OT Trouble Topic

I thought this team would make the CT champ game but they got knocked out with another OT loss.  I don't think we won a single OT game this season.  I started running fast paced because we were getting outscored due to our trouble on the perimeter.  Are there any idea's why my team has struggled late in games?

The team returns 10/12 players, all 5 starters.  The 2 sr's graduating were my worst players so I'm confident that I'll be able to run the conference for the next 2 seasons, but I'm curious what you guys think.

Also, if I did get back to back NT trips, would that be enough to hop up to a better school?

You have to schedule all games for next season. Playing sim ai is going to kill your chances to make it the NT as I think there is a better program than yours in that conference.

This is not an NT caliber team. You would need to win the CT (which is iffy considering your roster isn't very strong) to make the NT.

You're team is very young not NT caliber.

maybe I should clarify, I'm talking about next season and the season after it, this one is over and I know I'm not going to be in the NT this season.  I don't see a reason that Chad Miller wont turn into a dominant player of the conference once his Ath gets up to the 70-80 range.  Milton Hall's speed should get up into the 40's and LP might touch the low 90's.  I think he'll be very effective with his 80+ Ath in the conference.  Head has been good, Adams has been good, his SPD and DEF will be higher next year which will make the defense much better.  Tomlin and Jorgensen are solid.  David Moon's Ath + Per will continue to increase, he should be a threat toward the middle second half of the year.   My challenge is really bringing in some young players to keep it going, and getting more athletic.

I don't see a reason I won't be a contender in the conference though.  Connecticut will be tough though,

I don't see you as a lock next season nor the season after with this roster.

Milton Hall really isn't anyone you would want on a D1 roster. He would need speed to be at least in the mid/high 60s to be effective at SF, and would otherwise need huge improvements in reb (which looks like is maxed out already) to be effective at PF/C.

Without doing a player by player analysis, the only guys that belong on a low NT caliber D1 team are the following: Head, Jorgensen, Miller. The rest belong to d2/d3.

A quick way to see if you are NT ready is to just compare your team's ath/spd/def to the top D2 teams (assuming you don't have multiple studs on your team). Are you head and shoulders above them? If not, then you need to lock down a CT to get to the NT. And the thing is, with team ath/spd/def similar to that of a D2 team, it's hard to win 3 or 4 games in a row in the CT.

I figured I'd need to win the CT to get in tianyi.  I probably wasn't clear with my expectations.  I just think that we will be favorites of the conference for the next two seasons which should leave me with atleast a chance to win the CT's both years.

IF I did win back to back CT's and got eliminated first round of the NT both years, would I be able to jump up to a better D1 program?

I doubt it. I remember I didn't really qualify for any better jobs in 5 seasons in Phelan, and the team had a much stronger resume. I think it's around season 6 or 7 where you see a big improvements in the jobs you qualify for.
