Front runner on FSS but not considering? Topic

Here is a recruit I am going after

'Word on the Street' as of 6/01 3:00 am EDT: According to his 'posse', Greenville and XXXXXXXX are the clear frontrunners -XXXXXXX  and XXXXXX look like backup options.

But he is only considering the other team that is the front runner. Is this an error? I have already put 5 HV and a CV into him and he wasn't a drop down.

Note: I am Greenville and want to know why if I am listed as a front runner with the other school he is not considering me

When was the last time you remember him considering you? My guess is FSS came out, then in subsequent hours the other school put in more effort

He was never considering me, that is why I found it odd I have put some effort into him, am listed on the FSS but not listed on the considering.

Did you offer a scholarship? Sometimes they won't consider you unless you do

I offered a scholarship

Update... I am recruiting from 80 miles away and the team that he is considering is 290 miles away. We are both A- prestige.

At the 11 a.m. cycle I put in more effort and this is what I have put in so far.
- 5 HV
- 2 CV, 1 rejected CV
- declined guaranteed minutes

I am shocked how I have put over $3,000 into this kid from 80 miles away and he is not considering me at all.

I am trying to learn because I feel like the last two recruiting periods have been extremely screwy. Does anyone know what might be happening that will help me understand?

How many schollies does the other team have available?  How many other kids are considering him as well?  On the surface, this does look screwy unless he's pouring a TON into this kid, but why would he do that if he's the only one showing up on the kid?  Weird

I had this pop up one time where I was listed on FSS as the lead dog but despite feeding him HV's didn't get on the considered list. Third cycle, I finally went with 10 minutes guaranteed and that got me shown. Since you're in a battle, there's an added element since, presumably 1 or more of the others will be counteracting your effort with some of their own.

5 scholarships open for the other team, 4 players considering him (including the guy I am referring to)

So I don't know how much he could be dumping into him that is giving him such a large advantage especially since I have the distance advantage

Plus he has only the extra recruiting money that he earned because noone else in the conference made it, my conference had two teams in the NT and 1 in the PT, so I even have more extra cash then him.

I'd try another 2 HVs.  To match your effort exactly, he'd have to put in ~$4,300.  And he'd have to have significantly more into him than this for you to not even show up on his list.  Are the other kids he's recruiting close to him?  Is he in any battles for them?  Just trying to get a feel for how plausible it may be that he's going all out for this kid

Not necessarily true, depending on carryover $, but still I couldn't imagine he would have that much unless the previous year there were a ton of teams in postseason play.

No post season money from the year before other then his team. The other recruits he has considering him are 360 miles, 500 miles and 300 miles. He is in a battle on one and according to the FSS he is is leaning towards playing for the other team. I don't want to blow another two HV and have this kid still not considering me but I am blown away by either how much this guy is putting into one recruit. I am interested to see what the 2 p.m. FSS says.
