winning and the game is out of reach Topic

does anyone know what the engine decides as the cut off for the game being "out of reach"?

do most people use that setting so that back-ups get more time (when winning and losing for that matter)?

I'm not sure about the setting but someone could figure it out by checking a few 2nd half boxscores.

There are two reasons I use it for every game...1) give more time to backups;  2) reduce the chance of injury to my starters.

yeah, perhaps I am being too lazy to try and figure it out.  I agree with you Al regarding injury prevention and back-ups getting PT... but sometimes I wonder if my starting players should be in the game longer - and I can't tell if it's due to the fatigue settings or if a 10-15 point lead is considered an "out of reach game"

I think 'out of reach' is more than 10-15 points unless it's near the end of the game

I'm not sure what the right answer is - since I think margin of victory now matters in seedings......hard choice, I go back and forth
