What is the purpose of a DITR Topic

Everyone I have ever had wont ever make the ML level so what is the urpose? Do they grow more rating points after being clarified as a DITR or does it mean they will reach their proejected level? What is it because I am lost here.

I've seen some DITRs become good ML players due to the ratings and projections bump.  They tend to be RPs and Cs generally.  They get a ratings bump at the time, and their projections become higher too.  Mostly, they go from being a low level minor leaguer to a high level minor leaguer.

I had a career type AA relief pitcher get a DITR....became a good ML relief pitcher....suffered a debilitating injury the same year, spent about a season and a half on the DL....and got better than when he was injured to become a major asset.

This is one of the best DITR scenarios I've seen. HIs projected control is over 80, and his splits are over 90, as well as two pitchers over 90.

Typically any DITR that you strike gold with, will have a major fault in durability or health which kept their overall value down so that they would be eligible for the boost. It is very likely this player will suffer a major injury like Ranger pointed out and will not reach his full potential.
