It's been fun the last year and a half but this season and my last lost are the nail in the coffin.  It's just too frustrating.

You don't have anyone that can efficiently run point, so losses like that will happen.

Not to mention that his 2/3 are actually preety solid scorers. 

Should you have won?  Yeah, but it's not the worst loss I've seen.  And it's only one loss.  If you don't enjoy that game, then I totally understand.  But to quit a game you like over one loss seems silly.  But we've all vented, so if that's all it is, then I understand that, too.

It's more than just this one loss; 8-5 with this veteran team and many other losses in the past when favored over 20 sometimes 30 points.

I disagree with the point guard comment.  Dahlstrom 82spd, 70 def 65/68 bh/p is pretty solid at D2.  Graboski sucks on def but he's 67/74 bh/p.  Not a bad compliment to my other players.

I was probably going to quit anyway but was hoping to get this team into the sweet 16 or elite 8.  My conference mate dirtyjerk said I was one of the favorites to win it all.  Now I'm 8-5.  Oh well.

Two of those losses were in overtime. Two more were by a point each (and really, only two of the five losses are head scratchers, the other three were to teams I'd consider "in league" with you or close enough to make the potential for upset realistic).

Bottom line, you're not THAT far away from 12-1 and you can still get to the sweet 16 or Elite 8.

65/68 for BH/P is not going to cut it at PG... I wouldn't be happy with that at D3 for my starting point, let alone D2.  

Dahlstrom doesn't even have a 1:1 assist to turnover ratio and has turned it over 21 times in your 5 losses.  You can disagree with the comment, but facts are facts and that is a glaring weakness on an otherwise very good team.  If you had a serviceable point guard you'd probably have a couple more wins.

I'd run uptempo all-day, everyday, with that team vs lesser teams.

I also like Thompson over Paradiso. He's better defensively and is shooting much better. His REB is lower but you're doing fine on the boards.

This thread reminded me of the lumberjack thread where some guy who nobody in the HD forums knew who he was, announced he was quitting after his first season (which I think was his first forum thread).  that was the best thread in HD history

Yes, I was really taken in by him.   I volunteered to help him with his game so he gave me his password.  What a mess!  He had centers practicing 20 minutes on BH and PASS with low potential, etc. etc.

I sent him detailed instructions on how to fix his team, gameplanning, practice plan, etc.   He never even read my messages.

Yes.
I respectfully disagree. The best thread ever was The Random Thread, which singlethreadedly vaulted coachgunnar/fredpaull to the top of the hate list in HD.

But the thread you speak of is definitely up there.
