More recruiting effort from sim Topic

It seems like a lot of the D3 recruits that are considering sims are very tight with them. This is the first time I can remember that I've had a HV rejected after sending several phone calls as they are instantly recruitable (and it has happened multiple times in both of the worlds that I am currently recruiting in). Does anybody else think that the sims are putting in more effort on the front end? Not saying that's a bad thing, I just think it's different.

Yeah its rediculous.  I've given a guy 4 HVs whos 90 miles away along with a scholarship and 1 scouting trip and can't get him interested.  Its a flippin C- CPU team that has him interested who is over 1,000 miles (Tech. 250).  It shouldn't be a cake walk to get him to change his mind, but its rediculous that with a B prestige against a C- and closer miles can't get him.

I know my new Campbell squad is only D- prestige, but I've got a guy I've thrown the kitchen sink at, and I can't shake him from a D+ simmy that's over 2500 miles away.

Distance doesn't matter to a sim school. They always recruit from a 270ish mile distance, doesn't matter if they're really 10 miles away or 2500.

I am recruiting against a SIM school, but I got the "Cant wait to sign" scholarship email form a recruit over 24 hours ago. Will the SIM close the gap? or can I book him as signed?

99% of the time he'll be yours - the only way he wouldn't be is if you got on him late and the sim school was on him from the first cycle.  They'd build up considering credit in that scenario, and it's anybody's guess what that amounts to or how it accumulates.

If you got on him in the first 24 hours, then you'll get the same considering credit, so the SIM will never close the gap and he will sign with you.

What's the WOTS message?

CS has made it clear that "Can't wait to sign" messages don't mean all that much. If you're tight with him you are fine, but if it's close, you should spend some more to be safe.

It seems they are putting a lot of effort in the front end. I recently spent 12k on a DII recruit that was only 90 miles from me just to get sim off of him. Sim only had 4 open scholarships and it appears they put nearly half of their recruiting money into the one guy.

Ok, two people have referred to sim recruiting "on the front end" now.  You guys do realize that sims don't put any more effort into their recruits after the sim recruiting cycle preceding the first human recruiting cycle, right?  They do recruit a little bit later, but only on new targets who aren't considering anyone.

Hey dahs, I thought that was the case. However, I got in a battle with a Sim. I got involved early, couple of cycles in. It went from considering SIM only to considering both. When I called  the recruit a lttle while later or maybe the scholly call, I got the "can't wait to sign message." later FSS was us as frontrunner, but family says still open.  Unfortunately, I did nothing else because of other recruting. He signed with the SIM. What did I do wrong? What should I have done differently?

Dahs when I referred to front end, I meant before the first cycle. I know that they do no more recruiting until after signings and then they only go after players who are already considering them, or are not considering anyone.

How exactly would you interpret "on the front end"?  The first thing that came to my mind WAS the Sim cycle before the first human cycle.  Seemed obvious to me that's what the two coaches were talking about.  Did you somehow interpret that phrase differently?
