Recruited a ineligable PG in Smith who I promises a start and 10mins.Will I have to keep these promises as a 1st yeas Soph.next season?Or will the promises go away as he sits this season out?

promises go away at the conclusion of the season, even for ineligibles. If he becomes elligible them you'll have to keep the promise.

Nope, promises will go away.  He'll probably expect the minutes a normal SO would get, but the promised start won't be expected.
