How many players do you put on you generally put on your watch list?  Obviously, this differs by scholarship openings and level, but I just noticed I have 120 players on my watch list (21 high priority) for 2 scholarships (and no I didn't scout the entire U.S.).  100-150 players is pretty typical for me as I take awhile to evaluate players and always want a backup plan.  Is this normal?

I have two scholarships and I have 8 guys on my watch list... and that's pretty typical for me.  If I add someone to my watch list, he's generally a target or a backup option.  I might add a few more depending on if one of my high priorities won't talk to me and I dig a little deeper, but I generally don't have a very lengthy watch list so it's easier for me to keep everything straight (and keep it straight quickly since I do a decent bit of the actual recruiting from my phone).

I've had nearly that many sometimes...I wouldn't say its all that abnormal

I usually have about 15/scholarship. Better yet, I'll just hack into your list

I have had upwards of 100 guys on my list depending on openings and the available talent pool. If I go through all the recruits and that is how many I may like then that is the number I end up with. If I have 1 scholly opening it is normally 10-20 players.

i put every player i could possibly want on my watch list, usually for d2 and d3 this involves 75% pulldowns. makes it easy to streamline phonecalls 1st cycle

For D3 I'd say i have about ~35 in a normal year, and that usually gets cut down big time after the first cycle.  Last year in D1, I had 6 openings and had 50+ on my watch list (scroll to the big table).

i think its fairly normal. i used to have that many, or more, every single season (on my d2 team). i think over time, you will trim it down to more like 50, or if you are lazy, like 15. but its a good thing, me thinks.
